The Women’s Community Football League has been organized and managed by an experienced team with a solid organizational and technical background in tournament organization. It aims at creating happy memories for all participants and visitors during the played matches.
The league will start in the main three cities of Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam - while registration will be open for other cities as well. Additional cities will be added if a minimum of 4 registered teams, with each team including a minimum of 14 registered players. Participation is open to players aged 17 and older; games will be played in 9v9 format, along with a final Champion Cup knockout tournament. The WFL will provide opportunities to play and develop skills through training courses for those who would like to continue coaching or referee trajectories.
These initiatives aim to increase participation rates in physical activity across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and work toward fulfilling the nation’s goal of increasing participation in weekly sports to 40% of the population by 2030 under the Quality of Life program.
